Yorba Linda, California began in earnest in the 1920’s as a community of farmers. When the railroad came to town, their produce was more easily moved to market, growing the economy. Two packing plants were built next to the railroad station and the town remained mostly agricultural until the mid 1960’s.
Upon incorporation in 1967, Yorba Linda, CA had a boom in population and industry that its neighbors had been experiencing for the previous two decades. Yorba Linda has managed to retain its small-town atmosphere and is one of the safest cities in the US to live in.
